MESS LESS SLIME RECIPE

MESS LESS SLIME RECIPE

If play dough, slime, and shaving cream made a baby, this would be it! Seriously, this mess fluffy less slime is super stretchy, not so sticky, and really lightweight. This slime hack only uses two ingredients (bye bye food coloring, saline solution etc) and it lasts for months. Yes, literal months! This right here is pretty darn amazing! Not going crazy and calling it mess free, it is slime after all, but it’s the least messy slime I’ve ever made. Check below for this easy slime recipe!

MATERIALS:

  1. 1 pack Model Magic by Crayola

  2. 2 tbsp lotion

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Add 1 tbsp of lotion to the model magic and mend with your hands until fully blended.

  2. Add the second tbsp of lotion and mend once again until it is fully blended.

  3. Stretch and play!

Tip: Place inside a zip-close bag or an airtight container. Store at room temp.

How To Remove Slime from various things

Hair

Ahh, one of the most common places for slime to end up. I mean, who can blame a kid? Slime + hair = fun, right? Not for parents! To get slime out of hair, use conditioner or oil (like coconut or olive oil) to loosen the slime. Then you can gently work it through the hair with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb until the slime slips out.

Clothes

Ick! Has your little one put slime on your favorite sweater of theirs? If so, you need to act NOW! Luckily, I have a whole blog post for this! Click here to find out more!

Couch/Upholstery

Couch slime? Totally been there. First of all, you’ll want to scrape off any chunks. Then, blot the area with a mix of warm water and white vinegar. Be gentle and make sure you blot, don’t rub. Finish by patting it mostly dry with a damp cloth and letting it dry. Your couch will thank you, trust me!

Blanket

Getting slime stuck in a blanket is a total pickle! Luckily, I have the solution. Read this blog to find out how you can get slime out of your blanket!

Carpet

Slime in the carpet is a classic. I know my kids have done it once or twice! Start by removing the excess gunk, then mix warm water and baking soda or use a vinegar solution. Scrub gently with a soft brush. Make sure you don’t go too hard or you'll rough up the fibers. Blot dry with a towel, and boom! You have a clean carpet again.

Hard Floors

If you ever thought that your hard floors were safe from slime, you’re wrong. If your kiddos manage to get some on the floors, first, wipe up whatever you can. For the sticky bits, use a cloth with warm water and vinegar. On wood floors, just use a slightly damp cloth and dry the area right away to avoid any sort of damage.

Car Seat

Whether it’s from a backseat craft party or a sneaky slime stash, car seats are fixable too! Click here to read how you can get slime out of a car seat.

Bed Sheets

Slime in the bed never makes for a good bedtime. But don’t toss the sheets just yet! Let the slime dry completely or freeze it with an ice pack, then crack and flake it off. Next, soak the spot in warm water mixed with vinegar before tossing it in the wash. Voila, clean!

Pet Fur (yep, it happens!)

If your pup or kitty got into the slime stash, or your little one played a little too well with them today, don’t stress. Just rub a little vegetable oil or pet-safe detangler into the fur to loosen the goo. Work slowly and gently, then rinse it out with pet shampoo. Treats afterward are 100% required in this case.
