TASTE SAFE LETTER SENSORY TRAY

You know me, I love alphabet activities and sensory bins, put the two together and you’ve got me jumping from excitement. What better way to learn through play, than by combining educational activities for kids with entertaining sensory play. To make this at home activity for kids all you need is a few items and 5 minutes to assemble.

MATERIALS:

  1. Recycled shoe box (or any box or tray)

  2. Salt

  3. Zip Lock

  4. Food Coloring

  5. Letters (You can even write them down)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Pour the salt in the zip lock, add food coloring and mix well.

  2. Pour it on the tray and even it out.

  3. Ask the little ones to trace the letters with their fingers

  4. Watch them learn without them even knowing!

Tip: Although this activity is taste safe, keep a close eye on your little ones as they play to avoid them eating too much salt.
