Make your own personalized rollers using recycled household items. These have been toddler-tested for durability! I saw this idea for the first time on a friend’s page and jumped to make some!

Instead of using a toilet paper roll or a paper towel roll, I used the roll from an aluminum foil package. The rolls in things like aluminum foil, plastic wrap, and parchment paper are a bit thicker making it easier to roll on play dough without squishing.

MATERIALS:

1. Recycled strong paper roll

2. Hot Glue

3. Play dough (Homemade Playdough Recipe)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Heat the hot glue gun

2. Choose a pattern you want to make and add a thick layer layer of it to the paper roll.

3. Let dry and roll over the play dough to see the pattern.

Tip: For the name roller, think about how the letters will lay on the play dough when you roll it. Most letters will have to be inverted.
