MARSHMALLOW HALLOWEEN TREATS

Who’s ready for Halloween? I know I am! In collaboration with Wilton (sponsored), I’ve put together this easy spookalicious snack and counting activity. Wilton makes it so easy with their ready-to-use products. I absolutely love that it took no more than 5 minutes to make these yummy monsters! I will also add that adding different numbers of eyes to each monster makes this a fun, educational, and delicious activity.

Start with the Wilton Candy Melts. Their size and vibrant colors melt beautifully in the Wilton candy melting pot. The low heat keeps the candy smooth and creamy without burning or making it too runny. You should use lollipop sticks and adding themed sprinkles and candy eyes make these little monsters come to life! Wilton products make it easy to create professional-looking recipes.

YOU’LL NEED:

- 1 bag Candy Melts (available in various colors)

- Candy melting pot

- Lollipop sticks

- Marshmallows

- Candy eyes in assorted sizes

- Sprinkles (available in various colors)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1️⃣ Turn the melting pot on and wait for it to heat up to temperature. Once hot, pour in the Candy Melts. Stir occasionally until the melts are fully melted and no lumps are present.

2️⃣ Insert a lollipop stick into the bottom of a marshmallow. Make sure to not poke through the top or it won’t look like the ones I made.

3️⃣ Gently dip the marshmallow into the melted Candy Melts and turn to cover fully. Make sure you have a nice, thick coat on before you move onto the next step.

4️⃣ Add assorted candy eyes to the marshmallows. 1-10 eyes for each stick. This is where the counting comes into place.

5️⃣ Dip the top of the marshmallow into the sprinkles, adding unique hair for each monster.

6️⃣ Set the yummy monsters on a stand on some parchment paper and place in the refrigerator to allow the chocolate to set before you serve them.

I made a DIY stand using a piece of foam. I added some fake cobwebs to enhance the theme. It made for the perfect inexpensive stand, and really enhanced the look of these treats.
