FROZEN SEA RESCUE MISSION

FROZEN SEA MISSION

You have probably heard me say that water = magic! And it is so true specifically when it comes to sensory play activities for the little ones. But now I’m adding to that statement and saying… “Freeze the water!” Yes, you read right! Freeze that magical water and add some toys inside while you’re at it! It makes for a whole new sensory activity with a new range of motor skill activities for your kids.

In this case, I put together a mini ocean and made it a sea animal rescue mission. You see, when you tell a little one that the animals are stuck and they need help getting out, they dive right in and don’t stop until they are free. So it’s not just a general sensory bin, it’s a themed game and there’s a goal they need to reach. I loved watching their concentration faces as soon as I told them it was a rescue mission, they got so into it so fast!

  1. Glass or plastic container

  2. Plastic toys

  3. Water

  4. Food Coloring

  5. Salt
