COLOR BUILDING BATH

Ohh color bath how you have saved me. Whenever the time starts to tic backwards (you know, the witching hour), I whip out my food coloring and water. It never ever lets me down. It sets up in half a second, cleans itself up and my kids have a blast that lasts hours! YES, you read that right, hours! There is just nothing like it. Even Emma used her tiny hands to squeeze soooo hard! Save this indoor activity for kids for THOSE days. This is just what you see, adding one color at a time to the water until it builds up to a dark color.

MATERIALS:

  1. Food Coloring

  2. Squeeze Bottle or reuse a plastic bottle

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Fill a bathtub about half way. You don’t even want too much water because it will take forever to color.

  2. Add a few drops of food coloring to a squirt bottle and fill with water.

  3. Shake well.

  4. Hand it to your child and have them squeeze into the water. Once the color us done, repeat the process of the bottle with another color.

  5. Continue until the water is too dark to turn back.

Tip: Take this opportunity to talk about colors, temperature and water movement. Most of all enjoy their little smiles!
